Today, we often observe youngsters turning their backs on religion, complaining that it is monotonous, dogmatic, boring, illogical and superstitious. Criticising religious people and rebelling against tradition is in vogue. Religious activities have been reduced to an obligation performed by grey-haired people post-retirement. Youngsters are a rare breed when it comes to religion.
Undeterred by this disheartening situation, Pujyashri Gurudev has taken on the onus of engaging youth in the practice of spirituality. With creative modifications and innovations, Pujyashri Gurudev has infused freshness and vibrance in religion, which is attracting multitudes of youngsters.
Atmarpits (Renunciate devotees)
Without compromising on the fundamental principles of religion, Pujyashri Gurudev presents Jainism in a way that appeals to the mind and sensibility of the young. More and more youngsters are being drawn to spirituality. Zealous devotees who have taken the vow of lifetime celibacy and pledged a life of sadhana are known as Atmarpits. They have offered their entire being at the Lotus Feet of the Divine. At present, there are 64 Atmarpits and 1 Bal Brahmachari who have devoted themselves to the Mission.
In order to increase their involvement and depth in sadhana, various activities are organised especially for youth.

To ensure the holistic development of every youth group member, Pujyashri Gurudev blesses them with regular meetings. In these meetings, not only does He impart core wisdom, but also shares techniques on how to imbibe spirituality in day-to-day life. He emphasizes maintaining cordial relations with friends and family, joyously performing one's duty towards society, and having a positive outlook towards life. Thus according to the age and capacity of the particular group He addresses, Pujyashri Gurudev equips them with personal, interpersonal and life management skills rooted in spirituality.
A Spiritual Retreat
The youth groups are graced with the opportunity to go on an annual residential retreat with Pujyashri Gurudev. These retreats may be held at places of pilgrimage or serene destinations. No matter where they are, these retreats allow the youth to observe and imbibe Pujyashri Gurudev's Divinty up close. The time spent in His presence, the sessions, the cultural performances dedicated to the Divine and the enjoyable outings, all play a huge role in augmenting their progress on the spiritual path. It is during these retreats that they enter into an intensive training process. These retreats prove to be an unforgettable experience and have inspired many a soul to turn over a new life.
